About MGT

M.G. Tech-Writing, L.L.C. (MGT) is a sole-proprietorship, which opened its doors in the tiny community of Cedar Creek on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation in July 1993. In 2006, the firm moved from Arizona’s White Mountains to the Cottonwood, Arizona area of the Verde Valley, and has expanded to include branch offices in Tolleson, Arizona, Fountain Valley, California, and access to a home-based office when necessary in Anchorage, Alaska.

Over its 28-year business history, MGT has successfully funded nearly twenty ($20) million dollars in grants, including roughly $1.8 million in SRTS funding. Privileged to have worked with both the Pueblo de Cochiti and Taos Pueblo in New Mexico, two Nevada tribes, the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe of Southern Colorado, six Alaska Native Villages, and 15 of Arizona’s 22 tribes, MGT has proudly funded 24 tribal grants to date.

A certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with the Arizona Department of Transportation (#5444, 2009), the California Unified Certification Program (#39957, 2011), the Alaska Department of Transportation (#9900704, 2014), and the New Mexico Department of Transportation (#20-01-669, 2020), MGT completes multimodal transportation planning, grant and technical writing contracts, along with numerous types of training workshops.

Michia-Head ShotMs. Michia Casebier, MGT’s President, has been a grant and technical writer since 1991, and has worked as a Multimodal Transportation Planner since 2010. Combining a B.A. in English with Elementary Education certification, Ms. Casebier has had a successful service provision history of multimodal transportation planning, contract and grant project administration, technical editing, and grant writing for non-profits, federal, municipal and tribal governments, and school districts in the fields of multimodal transportation enhancement, education, arts and culture, language preservation, health and human services, forestry and wood products, renewable energy, agriculture, economic and community development. A certified SRTS National Course instructor and League of American Bicyclists, League Cycling Instructor, Michia is steadfastly committed to livable community development/design, and has extensive experience completing safety and built-environment needs assessments for bicycle/pedestrian access.

A Better Business Bureau accredited firm, MGT closely adheres to a strict Code of Ethical Standards, and annually reviews its Quality Assurance-Quality Control Management Plan.
